The map below showcases the courtyards and alleys that exist across the area of Nikea today (2022), as well as the remaining refugee housing stock by typology. There are over 130 building blocks in Nikea with some internal shared outdoor space, out of which 62 have internal courtyards.

These maps have been put together based on literature review, old cadastre maps from 1931 provided by the municipality of  Nikea - Ag. I. Rentis Municipality, as well as on site visits and fieldwork.
